Christmas Cards...

Wow, I've really outdone myself with that title haven't I??

Yup i'm back again, so much to share with you, seeing as i have been so very slack with the blog posts lately.

Last night wasreveal night over at the Scraptherapy Forum.  I made some Christmas Cards this week and i'd love to share them with you:
In the last week or so there has been some awesome new products arrive in store. Some of these have been some great new Sizzix Tim Holtz Dies. I have used a few of these to make my christmas cards this week.

The new Tattered Poinsettia is so easy to use, and I think will quickly become a favourite of mine. To make the one on my card this what what I did: I die cut the pieces twice out of manilla coloured cardstock and inked them with Peeled Paint and Vintage Photo Distress Ink.

Once the ink was dry I gave them a quick swipe with Picket Fence Distress Stain to soften the colours a little and give them some texture.

I then layered and arranged them on top of each other until I was happy with how they looked. I used both doubled sided tape, and a few pieces foam tape to stick them.

The last step was to mist them lightly with Perfect Pearls in Heirloom Gold.

I added a little bit of subtle sparkle by adding a little Rock Candy Dry Glitter.

Then just added it to my card and embellished it. For my card base I've actually used a district market card..

Here are the Products Used:
Tattered Poinsettia Die
Mini Cardinal and Mini Poinsettia Die
Vintage Lace Die
Mini Snowflake Die
Peeled Paint Ink
Vintage Photo Ink
Picket Fence Distress Stain
Perfect Pearls Heirloom Gold

A Special Tag

I can't beleive it's been so long since i posted.. Life sure does have a habbit of getting in the way of being creative at times..

I wanted to share with you today two things.. well it started astwo, but ended up as one..

This is  a special tag that i made for a birthday gift. This tag had a mind of it's own and just seemed to flow and fit together so well - Don't you love it when that happens??

I have used a bucket load of Tim Holtz goodness on this... But does that really surprise you?

It started off as a two seperate pieces..
a tag:

 and a pocket watch:

Then they just sort of fell together and  this was what happened:

I was so happy with how it tured out, and think I may have to make another one to hang up in my creative space.

I hope you are having a wonderful day, and enjoyed your visit, thank you so much for stopping by, hope to see you again soon.

Happy Sunday Everyone!!

First off can i say a huge Hi and Thank you to my new followers! Itwas such a nice surprise to find you !

Hope you are all having a very wonderful day and getting to spend the day doing something you love, or with the people you love..

I've had a wonderful morning, been for a walk with my sweet little man - which of course invloved the buying of chips, chocolates, and a new car.. - whats a trip to the store without a new toy car to add to the ever growing collection??

I'm now sitting down to have a play, i'm not really sure what i'm going to do, but i'm sure i'll have fun doing it anyway!!

But before i do run off i have a little tag to share with you.. it's nearly the end of the month, which means i dont have an excuse to get all spooky, so i'm fitting in a much as i can....

have used some of my favourite bits and pieces form the Tim Holtz Seasonal paper stash on this one - I jsut love that Pumpkin man! I've also die cut a bat and spider. Also some coloured Rock Candy dry glitter... this stuff is just so nice to use and fun to play with!! I've used it on my bat and spider, i didnt have black alcohol ink, so i just mixed together some of my darker colours and got a purplish dark brown, and i coloured some green and put it in my rock candy crackled vial..

Thank you so much for stopping by - I really do hope you enjoy your day..  Hope to see you again soon!!

October Tag

Happy Thursday!!

I'd like to say a big welcome to my nice shiny new blog...

I wanted to share with you my tag for Tim Holtz's October tag for 12 tags of 2012.

Tim showcased and explained some great techniques this month, this was so much fun..

Even though we don't really celebrate Halloween here in the land Down Under, I still kept the halloween theme, and used some different stamps, and added in a little picutre of my sweet little pumpkin.

And as always a little close up is good, here are my glittered bats and my tissue wrap background... I have a base pattern paper under my tissue as well, just to give it a bit of extra depth.

( Have to say i LOVE the Rocky Candy dry glitter!!!)
